Tender Belly Bacon

When a good looking guy comes into the shop with a big, silver belt buckle with a pig on it and  box full of pork, you listen!  More than that, you buy whatever he’s sellin’!

Tender Belly uses only Berkshire, Heritage hogs from Iowa that have never been treated with antibiotics or hormones. These pigs are allowed to graze and are fed a 100% vegetarian diet.

They use a maple spice rub and then dry cure the meat before it’s smoked with cherry wood.  We love the slight sweetness, subtle smoke and the fat to meat ratio.
